After the devastating cancellation of VAULT Festival 2022, I am over the moon to announce that Period Dramas will be coming to The Other Palace Studio for two shows on the 27th February!
Bringing together spoken word, cabaret, rap, drag and even tap dancing, Period Dramas is a chaotic and all-embracing celebration of self that combines cabaret and history in a romp through the ages. It teaches audiences the history of menstruation that they never learnt in school and busts the menstrual taboo wide open, whilst encouraging audiences to embrace themselves fully, let loose and have fun!
Originally programmed for The Pleasance Theatre for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2020 and VAULT Festival 2022, Period Dramas was a casualty of COVID-19, but it's coming back bigger and better...!
It's been a rather *ahem* tumultuous two years of COVID, accidents, illness and injury (and the brief closure of you know the entire theatre industry) so we are unbelievably excited to be bringing the show to a stage near you soon!!
